This was the chaos of my desk at the beginning of the week.
• wristwarmers for Audrey, waiting to be sewn up;
• journal articles to read for an essay that I struggled with, changed topic at the last minute and handed in a couple of days late;
• more pumpkins awaiting their tops.
I tried one on for size, warmth, etc. Pretty blue! (Bendigo Woollen Mills 8 ply Colonial in colourway 'Regal').
Finally everything was finished. The essay, the cup of tea, the second pair of wristwarmers.
These ones are in Bendigo Woollen Mills 8 ply alpaca, colourway ‘Havana’ and are so warm and soft to wear that I think I’ll have to make a pair for myself. (Pattern here.)
I do hope you like these Audrey.
Oh yes, and another one of these featured in the wee small hours when the essay stalled.

Thanks so much for a pointer to the wristwarmer pattern. I just promised my son I would make him some for next winter and didn't even know what to look for. I searched on fingerless gloves... which wasn't quite what I wanted!

And I have failed miserably on Flickr - trying to search for your shed in the background of your clothesline picture. I tried entering "beautiful clotheslines" in the search box but I couldn't see yours there. I've not used Flickr at all so I could (and probably am) doing it all wrong. If I just looked through all the photos listed under suse3 would I find it there?

Goodness me, you look like the Palmolive girl! What a beautiful manicure - those nails are the picture of perfection. Am now a wee bit jealous, after only just recovering from a 4-month regrowth following a very short lived foray into the world of acrylic nails.
Oh, and I do love that rose toile teacup. (The knitteds are a wonder as well.)

Good ol' learning -- it never ends. I do love JSTOR though. It's so much better than digging through all the journals and then wasting so much time at the copy machine. Although it was kind of nice to see what else was going on in scholarship...

The strawberries are gorgeous, good enough to eat. I'm glad you patronise Bendigo woollen mill, I'm ordering some of the alpaca ( I think) today for the dreaded man's jumper I feel I have to make though it will probably take me two years to finish it.

The paper was for a class called The History of Sexualities. The question I chose for the essy was about representations of sexuality, and I chose Elizabeth I as a case study.
